| Making Homemade Bird Feeders | | We make most of our bird feeders ourselves or I should say, my husband does. He is very talented. There are so many things you can use to make bird feeders with from scrap lumber to water pipes and everything in between. I personally think homemade feeders are more durable as well as very attractive. Do you feed the birds?
Do you make your own feeders or do you purchase them?

| Update on my bird feeders | | Hi everyone last night as I was doing my dishes and looking out my kitchen window I saw a yellow finch on one of my birdfeeders. I was so excited because Ive been trying all summer to get them here. They are really pretty. And they eat from a different kind of birdfeeder and a different seed. Which I had and it just sat there all summer untouched by any other birds. This was a baby yellow finch. I hope I see him again. Just wanted to share with you. | |
| | Bird feeders | | An apartment complex in our area has told the residents that they need to take down all the bird feeders or they will be in violation of their lease and could be evicted. This is an eldly apartment building and the residents have had the bird feeders for years. It is something they enjoy. Feeding the birds and watching them.
I don't see anything wrong with having bird feeders.
What do others think? | |

| Decorated milk jug flower pots | | My oldest daughter had a blast today.. she is alwasy trying to get into my finger nail polish.. well the past couple days i have been saving our milk jugs and juice jugs.. I cut the tops off and I let her take the finger nail polish to decorate the bottom and the top.. I take the bottom and plant flowers in them and put them on the porch.. then I take the tops and staple them upside down to a tree and put bird seed in them.. My daughter loves it.. any other ideas to use them or ways to do fun recycling things with the kiddos | |
