I have this very huge wrought iron mirror which is beautiful and though I love everything about it,I always wanted to color it in metallic gold. I had to wait so long but couldn't find the shade I needed. then today I stumbled upon an old nailpaint which never suits me, and lo! behold I painted my mirror frame and its just looking so stunning that I couldn't stop to share it with mylo family.
Only remember to clean the frame before you begin and yes be generous while using nailpaint. Metallic ones look better by the way.

| | Butterfly Wall Scounce | | I bought a beautiful butterfly wall scounce online several months ago. Is made with wrought iron and has three votive holders. | | | When Your Power Goes Down, What Do You Have As Backup? | | As some of you will know, there have been workmen upgrading the sewer systems and the storm drains in our street. Work has stopped for a while during the summer but they will be back soon, and then, I guess, we'll be back to all the power cuts, as before.What do you have for backup if your power goes down? There is no gas supplied to the village, so when it happens, we can't cook, unless we have Calor Gas, in cylinders. I have a paraffin lamp, a torch and oodles of candle sconces and candle stands, plus a good supply of church and pillar candles for emergencies. There is a candle sconce each side of my chimney breast in the living room and on one dining room wall. Beside the hearth, on either side, there's a candle stand. There's a wrought iron candle stand in my dining room and lots of candle sticks and glass containers with candles in, and one paraffin lamp that I can carry around from room to room.How do you cope in a power cut, at night? | |
| | Stolen from my Yard today.. | | I bought years ago a wrought Iron head board and thought it looked perfect for my morning glories to grow on, so i put it by the mailbox and every year they would decorate that area with pretty flowers...got home and noticed the sanitation men had come..i didn't put any trash out since i hardly have any..well its gone..can't prove they took it, but i'm so upset since I've had that their for 10 years and poof someone decides it might look good at their place or what?
So now i have for my poor flowers growing some V shaped wood thing for the flowers to grow over.
Wonder why anyone would do this and not feel guilty? Makes me want to tye down everything now. | |
| | Vampire vs Immortal | | I have started to read these books after I ran out of the Anita Blake series. LOL!! I read a new series having to deal with a family of vampires ok they are not vampires they like to be called immortals. Reason being is that they are not dead nor have they died to get were they were going. They actually are from atlantis and they have nanites in them. These nanites were originally designed to repairs wonds and make surgery less evasive. Well they were supposed to die once the repairs were made to the body but they didn't they continued to find things to repair .. Since our bodies are constantly under the attack of aging and the sun and what not they never died they continued to make repairs to the body. But here is the down fall the nanites use blood to make the repairs thus deplenishing the host of blood hence the reason they need blood in order to survive.
I would suggest if this interest you. To read more about them ..
